Get excited Upper Peninsula! In partnership with the Michigan College Fairs Committee, Michigan Association for College Admissions Counseling (MACAC) and Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO), Bay College hosts the return of Stay Local, Go Far! college fair. Over 35 colleges, universities, military services, and trade schools will be on both the Escanaba and Iron Mountain Campuses.
The first college night kicks off on Monday, September 14, 2026 at the Bay College – Escanaba Campus in the Besse Center Galleries. The excitement continues Tuesday, September 15 at the Bay College – Iron Mountain Campus in the Lower Commons. Both events are from 5:30pm – 7pm local time.
Stay Local, Go Far! is an opportunity to meet with representatives from participating institutions to learn about the programs and services they offer – all right here in our backyard. Whether you’re a high school student, currently enrolled as a college student, or simply curious about post-secondary education or trade options, this is a chance to see what’s out there and get your questions answered.
“It’s not always an easy task getting out of the U.P. This is an event where the colleges, universities, trade schools, and military services come to you! I encourage you to bring your family and friends – you never know what you’ll learn or who you’ll meet,” says the Bay College Director of Admissions, Jessica Beaver.
